Classes

We are focused on offering variety of classes to support your growth and transformation on and off your yoga mat

Adult Classes

All Level Vinyasa

HEATED

Also known as "Flow," Vinyasa is a dynamic style of yoga which joins physical postures (asanas), with inhales and exhales creating a steady internal rhythm. You'll flow at a moderate pace, using your breath as a guide and pause along the way to explore the finer alignment details to guide you into feeling more balanced and connected. The poses are intelligently sequenced beginning with warm up/opening postures, flowing into energizing poses, and concluding with cool down/stretches. All are welcome to explore, grow, and evolve their practice.

Heated Fire Flow

HEATED

Fire Flow is a blend of Power Flow and traditional Vinyasa with a creative (and sweaty) twist. Fire Flow begins each class with core awakening movement, followed into a full body intensive flow, and a "Breath of Fire" breathing exercise to ensue. "Breath of Fire" is a rhythmic breath that rids of toxins by the pulsating of the diaphragm massaging the internal organs, thus improving the digestive system. It is designed to synchronize your entire system under one rhythm, thus promoting greater internal harmony and health. This class will recharge you, empower you, and challenge you all in 60 minutes.

Buff & Flo Basics (Intro to Yoga)

This class will focus on the foundations of yoga with an emphasis on proper alignment and technique. Poses will be broken down and anatomical positioning will be explained to allow anyone from a beginner to a more experienced yogi to get more out of their practice. Modification of postures and prop use will be encouraged so that each individual can find what works best for their own unique body. Breathing techniques and meditation will also be introduced.

Pilates (mat based)

This is a class provided for all levels of mat pilates. Through this class you can achieve goals such as improved flexibility, muscle toning, alignment, and balance. Students will learn to use breathing patterns to engage deep muscles of the core. Props such as flex bands, pilates rings, light weights and balls may be used throughout the class. No previous pilates experience is necessary to take this class!

Power Flow

HEATED

This class is high intensity with added heat and rigorous inspired movement. Core toning exercises with power yoga activity. Power Flow is a results driven workout known for its high energy and ability to leave students feeling motivated and empowered.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a practice in yoga that encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Poses are typically held for longer than in conventional yoga as exercise classes, often with the support of props such as folded blankets, to relax the body, and reduce stress. Appropriate for all levels, restorative yoga is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing.

Flow & Stretch

Gentle yoga at a slow pace to ease stress and tension from joints and muscles that will focus on improving flexibility and movement. Restorative poses will calm the nervous system and aid in the release of deeply held tensions from the body and mind. Props are used as needed to support posture, while gently strengthening and stretching the body. A weekly restorative practice is a perfect compliment to a more active yoga practice.

Vinyasa

Also known as "flow," Vinyasa is a safely guided class flowing through poses and sequences linked with breath connecting the mind and body. Each instructor will bring a different offering in postures, sequencing and yoga philosophy. The poses are intelligently sequenced where the body moves to warm up, engages in energizing poses and cools down ending with meditation. Modifications and intensifications are offered for a safe and challenging practice.

Barre

Our teaching method is influenced by classical and modern dance (though it is not a dance class) and utilizes a barre to achieve optimal positioning. The precision-oriented technique focuses mainly on small, isolated movements within deeply held and challenging postures for your small muscle groups. Do you like to sweat, stretch, build muscle and get your cardio in 45-50 minutes? Barre is for anyone and everyone looking to shed pounds, tone up, stretch out, and destress. Using proper alignment, light weights, and burning out those muscles you never knew existed and keeping that rhythm with an upbeat playlist!

Warm Barre Flow

HEATED

Warm barre flow is an invigorating blend of heated yoga with barre, Pilates, small weight training and interval training elements combined. Feel the amazing benefits of our high technology Infrared heat, guaranteed to never feel stuffy or containing toxins or allergens that affect your breathing. That's 45 minutes of thigh-toning ballet moves, glute-strengthening yoga poses, and full arm focused weight movements followed by a cool down.

Bring your mat and we recommend a non slip one, or bringing an extra small towel for your hands.

Differences Between Pilates Classes

The main differences between the Pilates classes are:

  • Knowledge of the equipment
  • Exercise and transition experience
  • Pace of the class

Reformer Foundations help you master the basic movements safely and effectively. Without mastering the equipment, you risk getting hurt and not transitioning correctly to keep up with the class. The instructor will let you know when you are ready to move into other reformer classes: Reformer Flow, Reformer Sculpt and Cardio Reformer. Please call the studio with any questions or concerns.

Reformer Foundations (Level 1)

REFORMER

A key class for any beginner or individual to learn the fundamentals of Reformer Pilates. Taught at a slower pace to help you acclimate to the equipment, movements, and transitions--- and to get the full benefits of the workout. These foundational classes are extremely important for your safety. Reformer Foundations is a pre-requisite for all other reformer classes.

Reformer Flow (Level 2)

REFORMER

An intermediate level class based on Reformer Foundations (Classical Pilates), but adds sprinkles of contemporary exercises to the mix. Think stretch and strength. Do not be fooled by the name. Yes, you’ll flow, but those small muscles will feel the burn. No two classes are ever the same.

Must have instructor approval from Reformer Foundations or private Pilates sessions to take class.

Reformer Sculpt (Level 3)

REFORMER

Calling all barre stars! This 45 minute class incorporates props and barre exercises on the mat within the class. The addition of barre techniques will spice up your reformer and create that “barre burn” to sculpt your muscles up & down, inside & out.

Must have instructor approval from Reformer Foundations, private Pilates sessions or past Pilates experience to take class.

Cardio Reformer (Level 3)

REFORMER

Join us for an advanced level class with a quicker tempo, pace and of course burn. Transitions are part of the exercises and you'll move at a more vigorous pace during this class. Dynamic challenges and variations are sprinkled throughout the flow to create a supped-up combination of non-stop movements and strength training that flows more than an intermediate level class. Advanced Pilates exercises are higher intensity on the reformer to work your body to the max and leave your muscles aching...in a good way.

Moving at a faster tempo, this class requires instructor approval from Reformer Flow, Private Pilates sessions or prior Pilates experience.

Kids Classes

Kids classes can be taken as a series or individual pop-up classes added at different times of the year. Follow us on social media and subscribe to our emails for the latest dates and times!

Kids Yoga Class

Parents are welcome to join for the first class if needed. Children's yoga classes – just like adult classes – are based on the 5000-year-old science of yoga. Children are taught to stretch, breathe, meditate, and deeply relax. If you are a practicing yogi, you will see and understand the beauty of the children's yoga class. If you are not a yogi, you might think it is just playing around. Kids love to sing and dance, so music is incorporated into each class to keep them moving! Children will be jogging, dancing, massaging, rocking and rolling, laughing, marching, etc. Children will do meditation every class as well as learn karma yoga (selfless service). The benefits of children's yoga are immeasurable!

Mommy & Me

This 45 minute class is for ages birth to 1 year (non walking) to come with Mom ;-) try something new for you and your little one. This is a series and will be charged as one 5 class committment at the beginning of the series. Mommy and Me classes are a way to expose young ones to the yoga environment, while fostering quality time with mom. In addition, moms get to release stress and anxiety, stretch and tone the entire body, gain confidence, and re-charge their batteries.

Come to class with an open heart, a blanket, some toys for your wee-one, your yoga mat and water. This class provides a comfortable, supportive environment where moms can meet other moms and create special memories with their babies. Prior yoga experience is not needed to join this class. Unlike the kinds of yoga you might have practiced on your own (or simply heard about), doing yoga with your baby is quite different. Mommy-and-me yoga has some pros just for parents.

It can help you:

  • Ease new parent jitters. Get started by attending a class taught by a trained instructor — it’s a safe and structured way to engage with your baby.
  • Get a little TLC for your body. Any kind of yoga gives you an opportunity to nourish and care for your body through focused stretches and mindful breathing exercises, which is especially important after carrying a baby for nine months and then giving birth!
  • Stretch and strengthen the muscles that need the most TLC. The gentle movements and mindful breathing integral to yoga boost abdominal strength and activate the pelvic floor muscles, which aids recovery from giving birth. Classic poses — from upward-facing dog to cobra — open up the shoulders and chest you rely on for all of the rocking and cradling you do in the first few months with your baby.
  • Meet new moms. After baby is born, you might not have as much time for socializing. But it’s reassuring to talk to other mothers who are going through the same experiences as you are. Yoga class provides a safe and nurturing environment for new parents to discuss worries and concerns. You’re not alone! Bond with your new baby. Yoga is a healthy, playful activity you can enjoy together.
